Reading aloud to students is one of the most important things a teacher can do in the classroom. Reading aloud Reading aloud to young children is not only one of the best activities to stimulate language and cognitive skills; it also builds motivation, curiosity, and memory. Reading aloud helps students develop positive associations with books and reading as well as building the foundation for strong school success.

My goal is to read aloud a picture or chapter book at least 2 times a week for the entire year. The slide below will document all of our read alouds in the room 208. Please check back frequently as I will be posting daily.
